A year ago our little apartment in Toronto was stuffed to the gills with gear and bulk-purchased food. The food dehydrator hardly ever stopped and every square inch of wall space was covered with lists; things to remember, things to buy, things to take care of. Things.
Almost 365 days later, not much has changed. Our space in Thunder Bay (much larger than our last apartment!) is a pile of boxes, to do lists and the chaos that comes with packing up and moving out. This time, it's not a summer-long expedition, just the prep for a fabulously adventurous time across most of Canada. Tree-planting in Northern British Columbia, a canoe trip in Algonquin in July, WFR recertification in Nova Scotia, Maine for all of August....all culminating in our wedding on August 25th! Although it is a different kind of adventure, we are equally excited about the people we will meet, the sights we will see and the thought of moving back into our little old tent!
One of our goals for this past winter while Dave picked away at teacher's college, was to create a hard-copy, professional testament to our expedition. After many hours of work and editing, we have been officially published in KANAWA'S spring issue, 2012!!! Kanawa is Canada's paddling magazine and they have done a large article on the canoe trip portion of our Labrador adventure. There is no online version of the magazine, but the magazine can be found at most large news stands. We are deeply honoured and thrilled about this publication.

We wish everyone a safe and happy summer! Rest assured, the next expedition is already in the works....but that's another story. Be well and take care. Love, Adrien and Dave
Sounds like things are going awesome! Glad to hear it! I'll have to try and get my hands on that magazine - is it out now? xo Leila
