Dave Greene-
I grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario but feel as if I truely grew up at my family cottage in Coboconk, Ontario. It was there I fell in love with all things in the natural world, catching frogs, building forts, fishing and sitting around a campfire, things I still enjoy most today. In 2008 I graduated from Acadia University with a degree in Recreation Management and Community Development. My love of canoing and human powered water travel has taken me on a 66 day, 3,600 km paddle from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta to Thunder Bay, Ontario following traditional fur trade routes. Additionally I obtained my British Columbia class 4 raft guide license in the summer of 2009 and have been a Wilderness First Respoonder since 2004. Having been a canoe guide for summer camps in Algonquin and Temagami, I have discovered a passion for sharing the natural world to others. It is my hope that we can document our journey and share our stories of culture and environment with you.
Adrien Rawley-
Growing up on the coast of Maine, I spent most of my childhood outside exploring the forest and beaches. This curiousity never left and I was drawn to Nova Scotia to study Conservation Biology at Acadia University. I wrote my honours thesis on Striped Bass migration in the Bay of Fundy and enjoyed wonderful field seasons researching. After graduating I traveled to Costa Rica to work on an organic goat farm and eventually came back to Canada to travel across the country with Dave. I have a huge love for art, food, gardening, music and all things outdoors. Camping has always been a passion and human-powered recreation one of my favourite past times. I am a certified yoga instructor as well as a wilderness first responder. Arriving back to Canada after 6 months in New Zealand traveling by foot it's time to explore the North East of Canada by oar and pedal.
